Our Volunteers Made This June Extra Special!

Care packages made by Deloitte volunteers on Impact Day ‘22

The month of June has been filled with the joy of making and giving for Harboring Hearts. With the support of over 100 wonderful and engaged volunteers throughout our 4 care package events in June, we were able to provide 215 care packages to our pediatric cardiac patients and their families. 

On June 10th, we participated in Deloitte’s Impact Day, engaging over 50 Deloitte team members in a care package event with suncatchers, rain sticks and fun activities for our pediatric patients and their families. We then delivered those packages to our families at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore.

Additionally, we also hosted team members from a NYC-based financial services firm in three different events. They assembled care packages for our pediatric cardiac families, all in an effort to bring a little bit of joy into their lives and be one of the reasons for their smiles. Their smiles are what makes our work worth it and fulfilling.
