With Family, Healing Is Possible

This year marks the 15th Anniversary of our Family Campaign! Since 2009, we have helped 2,500 transplant patients and families with food, housing, and transportation.

Founded by Yuki and Michelle, whose story of how they met is still the glue that binds us, Harboring Hearts has become what it is today. Near New York-Presbyterian Hospital, they met while visiting their fathers, both of whom were getting heart transplants. When they saw first-hand the lack of support transplant patients and their families receive, they came together to found Harboring Hearts

We are focused on our patients but we also prioritize helping and supporting their families as well. By supplying them with food, transportation, and housing, we help our patients and families focus on what truly matters - their loved ones - without worrying about how they are going to make ends meet.

With our family close, we can thrive and heal. That is why it’s incredibly important to make sure family can be by their loved one as they’re healing.

We provide families with critical resources, like food, housing, and transportation - as we did for Jaxx and Julene’s families - so they could focus on what matters most - healing with family by their side. With a transplant procedure comes many unexpected costs that can really put pressure on families, and that is why we are here - to help shoulder some of that burden.
